Welcome to Haus Marjanne in Wildschönau

We are Robert and Femmie. We have been together for 36 years and originally come from the Netherlands, born and raised in Bergschenhoek near Rotterdam. For the past 18 years, we have happily lived in Dronten.

Since our youth, we have been visiting Tyrol and completely fell in love with this beautiful region – the stunning nature, the hospitality, the authentic atmosphere, and of course the delicious Tyrolean cuisine. Both summer and winter here are absolutely breathtaking.

After many years of searching for a plot of land or a hotel, we finally lost our hearts in November 2025 to a beautiful guesthouse with apartments in the Wildschönau: Haus Marjanne in Niederau and moved over to Niederau in April 2026.

Niederau truly offers something special for everyone. During the summer you can enjoy:

• An outdoor swimming pool in the village
• A summer toboggan run

The weather here is generally wonderful, with little wind and phenomenal views. You can still hear the authentic sound of cowbells from the cows grazing high in the mountains – the true Tyrolean feeling.

In winter, Niederau transforms into a beautiful winter sports destination. For families and beginner winter sports enthusiasts, Niederau is ideal thanks to its many beginner slopes and the presence of two ski schools where both young and old can take ski and snowboard lessons.At the end of our street you will find the Spar supermarket. Cross the street and you are immediately at the chairlift taking you up the mountain. There you will find beautiful red slopes, a challenging black slope, and the start of a 6.5-kilometre toboggan run.

Nearby, you will also find the gondola lift that takes you to the most beautiful mountain peaks. On this side of the ski area, there are also two cosy après-ski venues.

For guests looking for even more lively entertainment, Westendorf is only 12 minutes away and is well known for its vibrant après-ski scene.

In the nearby Alpbach/Wildschönau ski area, accessible with the free ski bus, you can enjoy 114 kilometres of ski slopes. In addition, Hopfgarten is only a ten-minute drive away, giving access to 275 km of slopes in the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental!

Dogs welcome

We understand that a holiday is only complete when your dog can come along. Therefore, dogs are welcome on a limited basis. To ensure comfort for all guests, we offer one room and one apartment suitable for guests with a dog.

Mountain e-bike rental

For mountain lovers and active holidaymakers, we also offer four mountain e-bikes for rent. This allows you to explore the beautiful surroundings of the Wildschönau in a relaxed and enjoyable way.
